The Phoenix Mercury are one of the eight original WNBA franchises, founded in 1997 and based in Phoenix, Arizona, where they play at PHX Arena. Three-time champions in 2007, 2009, and 2014, the Mercury are the franchise of Diana Taurasi, the league's all-time leading scorer.
